The building opened in September 2018
SA1 was a competition to create bespoke artworks for the interiors of the new University of Wales Trinity Saint David campus in the SA1 marina area of Swansea. Stacey Mead designed a sandblasted balustrade that now sits in the new campus library.
Through winning this amazing commission Mead was able to see her design in a real life setting for the first time. The process of working with architects, subcontractors, interior designers and the project manager taught Mead some invaluable lessons.
